The AMS Performance BMW G8X M3/M4 Heat Exchanger wasn’t just engineered in CAD and tested on the bench — it was rigorously validated both in-house and on the track. Our engineering and calibration teams ran controlled dyno sessions and street testing to evaluate intercooler air outlet temperatures under demanding conditions. To push the product even further, we collaborated with professional time attack racer Jackie Ding, who put the system to the test on his BMW M2 race car during Gridlife and Super Lap Battle competition events. Across dyno pulls, street testing, and real-world motorsport conditions, the AMS unit consistently delivered lower intercooler air outlet temperatures—recording a peak of just 112.8°F, compared to 116.4°F on the OEM system. Most notably, the leading aftermarket competitor actually performed worse than stock, with their temps climbing to 120.2°F.
